Mirielle Therapy provides weekly, 45-minute individual therapy sessions via telehealth for women located in New York State, including NYC. Our therapists offer evidence-based, affirming mental health care in a supportive, inclusive space for women of all ages and backgrounds.
We specialize in therapy for women navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, career stress, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, and identity-related concerns. Our therapists have particular expertise working with Gen Z and Millennial women in NYC.
Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected, or if you want support with personal growth. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy many of our clients are high-functioning women seeking clarity, balance, and support.
We use a personalized, integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s goals and needs. Our therapists are trained in evidence-based modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Relational Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Yes. Mirielle Therapy is a fully virtual therapy practice offering HIPAA-compliant online therapy to clients anywhere in New York State. We offer flexible scheduling seven days a week. Sessions are 45 minutes and typically held weekly.
Your first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding your goals, and exploring what brought you to therapy. It’s a collaborative conversation that sets the foundation for your work together.
Yes, we do. We are in-network with Aetna, including HMO, PPO, and Student Health Plans (Columbia, NYU, and FIT). If you’re covered under one of these plans, you’ll pay the specialist co-pay listed on your insurance card.

Some of our therapists are also in-network with UnitedHealthcare for New School students only.
Please note: while we’re happy to check your benefits, a quote of benefits does not guarantee coverage or payment, as eligibility is ultimately determined by your insurance carrier.

Yes. Many clients use out-of-network benefits through plans such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. Depending on your plan, insurance may reimburse approximately 50–80% of session costs.

We provide superbills and support you in navigating the out-of-network reimbursement process.

Fees vary based on the therapist’s level of training and experience:

• Master’s-level therapists: sessions begin at $250

• Ph.D.-level therapists: sessions begin at $350

If you’re unsure what option is best for you, we’re happy to discuss this during your consultation.

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and FSA/HSA cards. Payments are processed automatically using the card on file from your Welcome Forms. Please notify us at least seven days in advance if you need to update your payment method.
We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled within 48 hours (or missed appointments) are charged the full self-pay rate, as insurance does not cover missed or late-cancelled sessions.

Yes. All therapy services are confidential and HIPAA-compliant, with limited legal exceptions. Your therapist will review confidentiality during your first session.
Columbia Students are required to submit a referral from CPS, prior to their first therapy session with us.

Yes. Your privacy is protected under HIPAA. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (e.g., safety concerns, abuse disclosures, or court orders), which your therapist will review with you.
It is wonderful that you’re taking the first step to begin therapy. We have a team of diverse therapists who understand what you’re going through. Our therapists can be found here. To begin, please schedule a 15-minute complimentary consultation call with one of our therapists here. From there, we will send you the intake forms and schedule your first telehealth session at a convenient time for you.
Mirielle Therapy Practice PLLC is in-network with Aetna Health Care. This includes HMO, PPO, and Student Health Plans (Columbia, NYU, and FIT). If you have the above insurance plans, you would pay the “specialist” co-pay amount listed on the front of your card. Some providers are also in-network with UnitedHealthcare (for New School Students only). If you do not have one of the insurance plans listed above, you might be able to use your out-of-network benefits, which typically cover approximately 70-80% of the cost. Sessions for Master’s Level therapists begin at $250, and for Ph.D. level therapists, fees are $350. We will provide you with a form to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Co-pays and Other Payments are made automatically to the Credit, Debit, or FSA/HSA card that you provide in our Welcome Forms.
In an effort to accommodate all of our clients who are seeking appointments, we request a 48-hour cancellation notice. A cancellation fee of your full session amount will be charged for sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. Please note that insurance does not cover these missed sessions.
